When you visit tibetan toilets, never go without your own toilet paper, a torch and sunglasses.

The torch is very usefull for toilets without a window or at night, not for lighting the place but for knowing where to put your feet and not to fall. Once you are in place, switch the torch off, darkness is perfect to hide frequent overflows (most are not lucky enough to have a torch, this is probably the reason why so many people miss the target)...

Sunglasses are usefull for the same reasons as the torch but for the day, into toilets with light.

Last but not least, the best way not to smell the noxious vapors : some Tiger Balm under each nostril before entering the place. The strong odour of camphor and mint is perfect to hide inapropriate emanations.

Another specificity to Tibetan toilets : very often, under the hole in the ground, a very deep pit (6 to 8 meters deep), or an inclined ground. In both cases, these evacuation places are opened to the air, which means the accumulation under the hole, which is not made of plants and flowers, can easily be observed under oneself...

Photographs? We can tell it now: we thought about making some nice pictures and show them to you. But then we realized that we couldn't do that, no, not to you!
