At Inle Lake, villages are floating and so do the gardens, a vegetal carpet moving with the water, attached to the bottom of the lake by wooden sticks, which looks like a vertical alignment of reeds. Walking on these green grounds makes one dicover wavering movements, the earth is moving and you believe you can float.

At Inle, life is quiet and smiling, one could spend days in a boat, sliping on the shining surface of the lake, feeling the light wind blowing, taking a full reserve of sun rays.

Calm and poetic country of generosity, where fruits and vegetables can be found the year round, it is nice to taste all products which grew here and be part of this relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

COLOURS

Imagine villages where every market day is a unique and festive occasion for people to meet, exchange and discuss.

Imagine alleys full of dust and mud, plastic fabrics attached to wooden sticks, protecting from the sun and the rain, and large baskets to transport all products, most of the time carried by women on the top of their head.

Imagine colourfull stalls, red, yellow, green, brown and orange. Almost everything can be found here, from fruits to vegetables and spices and fabrics, and springs also that are sold per kilo.

On the ground, all kind of goods. Vendors are sitting here, their treasures carefully spread out in front of them, they discuss and they smile, they talk and they laugh. From one merchant to another, from one alley to the next one, vendors sell and buyers bargain, and baskets get filled and full.

Further away, people have their meal, sitting around a little wooden table, next to the fire and cooking place.

Next to us, men share a friendly time together, having tea in a shop. And the smell of their cigares mixes with all the incredible scents of the market place.

A market is a place to live, a living atmosphere that forgets you when you act discreetly, and continues its way in front of you, with its natural and charm. Sellers, buyers, merchants: a bustling market is unique place for the pleasure of senses.
